Access Professional Systems (APS) is an industry leader in designing, installing, and servicing advanced access control systems for small and large-scale institutions throughout the Southwest United States. APS was established in 1977, by Russ Scheppmann, as a San Diego-based residential garage door installer, which, over the years, evolved into APS’s current offering and market position. In 2017, Chris Scheppmann joined the organization as a second-generator owner-operator and is ultimately responsible for company growth and long-term success. Under Chris’s direct leadership, APS has tripled in size and now has a much more robust product suite with notable customers such as the San Diego Zoo, Hotel Del Coronado, SDG&E, San Diego Police Department, Phoenix Convention Center, and many more.
